Our Colombian Coffee

Coffee is more than just a beverage; it's a cultural experience, a moment of solace, and a source of livelihood for countless people around the world. When it comes to coffee, Colombia stands out as one of the world's premier producers, renowned for its rich history and exceptional coffee beans. Colombian coffee production is steeped in history, dating back to the early 1800s. The country's ideal climate, with its combination of high altitudes, abundant rainfall, and diverse microclimates, provides the perfect conditions for coffee cultivation. However, it wasn't until the 20th century that Colombian coffee truly gained international recognition.

The creation of the National Federation of Coffee Growers of Colombia in 1927 marked a turning point. This organization, known as the FNC (Federación Nacional de Cafeteros de Colombia), was established to promote and protect the interests of Colombian coffee farmers. They introduced the Juan Valdez branding campaign in the 1950s, creating an iconic symbol for Colombian coffee recognized worldwide.

Today, Colombia is the third-largest coffee producer globally, after Brazil and Vietnam. Colombian coffee is known for its balanced flavor profile, characterized by bright acidity, medium body, and notes of citrus, caramel, and chocolate. This reputation for quality has helped Colombian coffee maintain a strong presence in the global coffee market.
